You know the weather is getting better when fire tricks gets swapped for the chains. 😉 – with the festival just around the corner some street performers have already arrived.
However Todd Various is here all year – his sleight of hand tricks are really impressive. – often found on the Royal Mile, near St Giles’ Cathedral

The BBC are filming something on Portobello Beach tonight – Along with the bonfire they are also playing The Doors, Light My Fire … I’m assuming it’s something to do with fire. – Probably some rubbish that will be on BBC 3 at some obscure date/time. – nevertheless they better tidy up after themselves.

The adverse weather continues, it gives a lovely opportunity for picturesque photos.
but as the snow thaws, it becomes slippery and slippery … be careful out, the old colloquialism ‘Brass monkey weather’ comes to mind. 😉

The Beast From the east or Snowmageddon 2018 comes with some problems, I’m snowed in!! Nae public transportation until further notice. Its unique as Snow very rarely lies on the beach.

The first snow of 2018! We had a wee totie bit of snow in Edinburgh, I did hope for some more but alas – this was it. Taken yesterday in Bruntsfield links, we can see a dusting of snow atop Arthur’s Seat.
Over the weekend St Margaret’s Loch was frozen over, the council in their wisdom put up a wee sign ‘Danger Thin Ice’
I suppose they have to, but if your daft enough to skate or walk on a frozen St Margaret’s Loch, well yeah .. you deserve what you get
